Re: Logitech Gaming Software and G700

PPP really by Logitech, buy our gear then post in our forums and we'll do- nothing...

My Logitech G700 review:

Had I done some decent research I would not have spent my money on the G700, the software is poor in the extreme for a "GAMING MOUSE".

Why? The "Logitech G700 gaming mouse" has button assignments in "gaming profile" for Maximise, Minimise, Show desktop, Undo, Redo and Paste for instance. This is absolutely unadulterated false advertising to call this mouse and software combination a gaming device with support software! The settings software is clunky in the extreme too in the way of assigning control/commands to mouse buttons. It is nothing like the old joystick/gamepad software which gave a decent visual of each individual button/control available on te device. Setpoint is productivity software for standard devices. Poor implementation really, I will think very carefully before buying another Logitech device other than basic equipment...

Re: Logitech Gaming Software and G700

Even my 'old' G11 keyboard has LGS, why not my brand new G700. I'm sick tired of Setpoint and of running 3 programs in the background when I could run only one. Logitech, WAKE UP! WE WANT LGS FOR G700 NOW!

Re: Logitech Gaming Software and G700

...

Wow, look its a hot sexy new G700 GAMING MOUSE!!  Its Wireless too...hands money over to cashier.

Get home, open box, plug in mouse...instructions sent me to Logitech for the software...click...click...**bleep**? Setpoint!???  But everything else I bought recently uses LGS...  o.O

...

Dear Logitech,

What moron pushed this out the door using that decrepit old POS setpoint hack job?  Did you do it just to grab a couple extra bucks from me?  Well, here is my answer to that...going back to the store tomorrow.

Oh, and don't even get me started on the battery life.  3 days with light use, and one after a night of serious gaming. Are you kidding me?  At least throw in a charging cradle instead of making me find that rigid hose to plug the mouse into.  Not even a braided highly flexible performance cable - nope, only the best for us paying customers - you include a cable that lets you know when its plugged in with force feedback

Sorry.  No more rant.
