MX518, SetPoint 6.22, Windows 7 X64, Installation Hangs

I have been trying to install SetPoint 6.22 however it just isnt working on my machine:

1) During installation "SetClean" hangs at 25% CPU

2) When I terminate the process instllation seemed to keep going, but then a series of other installs all hung at 25%

3) It installed the set point settings manager, but that just lets me download updates, nothing else is there

4) I no can't uninstall as I get the same problem.

I tried the x64 bit download, I tried creating another admin and installing from there, and I tried to uninstall using Revo. I'm stuck.

Thanks,

Daniel

Try installing in Clean Boot - https://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/228

Tried that too, still didn't work, exactly the same problem.

Wasted hours on this problem.

Hello danmc,

Do you have a security software or firewall that may be causing the installation issue.

You could try downloading from here setpoint620_x64.exe save and install after it have downloaded .

I just run essentials, but I already tried to install with the real-time turned off. As I mentioned in my first post, I had already treid the direct 64-bit download without luck.

Hello danmc,

I know it must be frustrating to be dealing with this issue but at this point it seems necessary to contact costumer care for your region to have a case created .

Actually, I will just take it back to the store, I'm not interested in wasting more time.

I suddenly started having this same issue and nothing suggested will fix it. It happened after SetPoint wanted to install the latest update.

Re: MX518, SetPoint 6.22, Windows 7 X64, Installation Hangs

I'm having the exact same issue with setpoint630_64.exe for my new Solar K750 Keyboard. Nothing seems to work, and phone support hasn't been able to help me what so ever. My only difference is that SetClean.exe just sets and takes up an entire core at 100%
