MX518 Woes and RMA Question

Hey all, just wanted to check here in hopes of any information regarding RMA policies. Specifically if logitech offers them at all being the manufacturer. I've done a bit of googling and turned up a variety of different answers regarding this specific question and just want to save myself potential time on the phone with a representative if I won't be able to get anything out of it.

Some quick background in case it helps

I'm looking to get an RMA on an MX 518

This is the second one I've had myself, both suffered the same fate. Well, the first one I tried to fix myself obviously nulling any chance of even getting to this step. The issue is that the tracking cuts out and the USB comes on and off very quickly and randomly, only on the mouse. I've heard this is related to a (keyword) manufacturer defect in the way the cord is designed. I was almost a day one buyer of the 518 when it came out so even this repalcement mouse is fairly old and in good condition other then this defect. I've gone through 2 G15 Keyboards and am on a G510 now, I've been rocking a logitech joy pad for years as well as stereo speakers + sub. Basically I'm a logitech fanboy and have been through a lot of products that experience similar glitches in later life. I've never asked for an RMA on a logitech product in spite of this... I can pull the PID off of all my products to back this up as well.

Is it possible logitech will symathize with my case knowing that their products are indeed not perfect or am I going to suffer another $40-60's to buy a new replacement mouse?

Re: MX518 Woes and RMA Question

If it is within the warranty period Logitech are very good at RMA - in the UK at least - I had my first MX518 replaced and when that failed they replaced it with the G400 mouse.

Just report the problem via the main Logitech site
