Re: New Logitech G-mouse with USB 3.0

Mice don't need USB 3.0 becasue 2.0 is more than fast enough and provides all the voltage a mouse could ever need. What the heck kind of a super-mouse are you envisioning that could possibly require the bandwidth USB 3.0 can provide?

You have to be kidding guys, they can't even update LGS to support G700 and you're asking for USB 3, it's alien tech.

If you want LGS support, you'll have to buy the new G800 with USB 3.0! :robotlol:

Re: New Logitech G-mouse with USB 3.0

I don't see USB 3.0 as beneficial for any mouse as there is just not that much bandwidth needed.

However I would love to see a Logitech mouse that competes with Razer's Naga/Epic with 17+ buttons but instead of the smaller claw-grip size, it would be palm-grip like the G5 (the best mouse ever except for lack of buttons) or G700 size. Of course, it would need LGS support, .lua support and fully customizable.  I prefer wired mice because they are much lighter than wireless however two different variants (or at least the ability to remove the battery and still use it wired like the G700) would be nice. I do find the G700 on the heavy side for gaming.

Re: New Logitech G-mouse with USB 3.0

USB 3.0 will make a huge improvement over current mouses.

USB 3.0 is full-duplex and will not need the OS pooling for status of mouse.

HID don't need the bandwith of USB2.0, but the improvement over latency will surelly be very welcome specially for gaming
