G-series Gaming Mice

A wireless G9 would be AMAZING!! Same form factor and maybe a tad bit heavier due to the batteries.. Keeping the click feeling and reducing the force required to click the middle mouse button would make a wireless G9 golden!

I check this post about every two months hoping you'll make a Wireless G9. Nothing else controls as smooth as a G9, and I've tried plenty of other wireless mice hoping to  find something similar. Make a real gaming mouse again. The G700 is just for WOW players.

dev im waiting for a g9 wireless as well.

however, i dont think hot swapable batteries are that important. with the extra battery and the charger, I'd rather just carry two extra AA.

Ive had the g9x for about 2 years. LOVE IT. I am a fingertip grip or or claw grip person. I rest my palm on the mouse pad and move the mouse with my fingers. the g9x is perfect for this.

I recently tried the g700 in thinking that it would work out and be a replacment for my g9x..... I have them side by side and I still prefer my g9x over the feel and weight of the g700. 

Please make a wifi version of the g9x and improve the middle click mouse button.

So, to chime in:

I do not think a wireless G9 or G9x, directly, would be possible. Shape changes would have to occur to the body as most of our current rechargeable mice have moved to NiMH batteries (eg Eneloop AA and equivalent).

That being said, the G700 does use the same sensor as the G9x BUT the form factor is quite decidedly different. Our product development teams do read the forums and I don't know everything they're planning, but within my knowledge, a direct transfer of the G9x to wireless with our current preferred battery technology is unlikely.

I think you could just drop the weight compartment since you likely wouldn't want more weight than the battery would already provide. 

I still think about a wireless g9 everyday, as I love the mouse but hate seeing the now tangled cord. Went to check out the g700 but its massive and relatively short battery life. 

 Also all the logitech mice I've had have a very loud click. I have to disassemble and put some electrical tape in the copper area of the click to drop the noise about 80%. People don't realize how stressful a mouse click can be until you switch to silent.
