My G7 finally died a few months ago after something like 5 years continuous use, and I've been hunting for something to replace it ever since. No other wireless mouse has come close - they all have major flaws. It's comfortable, flexible, the interchangable battery system is brilliant and it tracks perfectly. If you were to simply resume manufacture of the G7 and include the infinite-scrolling wheel it would be the perfect mouse.
See as an example of the popularity of the mouse below:
(sorry if it's a TOS issue)
That auction for a two year old mouse hit an even $100AU including postage. That's how good we think it is, and is an indication of how much we're prepared to gamble on a possibly unknown quantity just for the chance of re-living that quality.
While I'm at it, resuming manufacture of the original Cordless Desktop Pro ergonomic keyboard would be greatly appreciated - where have all the good ergonomic keyboards gone?
