(Move this where necessary, I figured this was the right place seeing as the mouse is the main problem... I think.)
I never had this problem with my older G15, but it finally gave out last month, so I bought a new one. Orange is a nice color, eh?
The problem is, I've found, in certain games when a key(any key) is held and the mouse is being moved at the same time, a sort of lag occurs with the G5 that makes it freeze at seemingly random intervals. I've also noticed the G15 lagging as well, as sometimes I'll be holding down, say A to strafe left, and moving my view to shoot at an enemy, and I'll let go of A and I'll continue moving for a second or two. The mouse functions completely normally when I'm not pressing a key, as does the keyboard. Incredibly simple tasks like moving and shooting at the same time become a tedious nightmare with this.
The games this occurs in so far are Left 4 Dead and recently reinstalled Battlefield 2. Nothing else. I'm at wit's end here, I've tried swapping USB ports several times, I've reinstalled the games, I've even checked Valve's Steam Support.
