Hello Recepponi,
I would suggest uninstalling setpoint, re-install it in a clean boot mode. Also if you have another mouse to plug in while reinstalling I would suggest doing so.
You can download the latest software from here:
Kind Regards,

As I said in my post I cannot uninstall it in a proper way. I've tried deleting all files related to Setpoint and cleaning the registry . By the way I've already tried reinstalling Setpoint after a clean boot but it still does not detect my G5. Maybe I'm missing some files or registry keys.
Setpoint app I've downloaded from your website has a different filename that is "setpoint632_smart.exe"

How does the G5 show up in your device manager? The G5 should be a HID compliant mouse with a VID_PID starting with 046D. Are there any bangs on the device in your device manager?
I'd say you have grander permissions issues though. On the other hand, on thing to try would be manually installing installer using one of these (for your system's bit type)

It's entirely possible, especially if there was a system update. That can sometimes mess with the registry permissions.
One way to clear things out is to create another admin level user on your PC and try installing SetPoint 6.32 on that account. That might clear out the situation where your user is no longer fully recognized to write over the reg keys, and the SP installer will otherwise blanket the files out where needed for that. If that does work, then you will also have user issues beyond the scope of Logitech's involvement on this forum ![]()
Also, clear out your %TEMP% folder try using the 64 bit install linked on the second post. The smart installer figures out your bit type for you and downloads the correct actual installer. By installing direct using the 64 bit installer, that could resolve some complicated install issues

Problem solved .
Had a safe boot
Uninstalled every Logitech utility installed except for Setpoint for which I had to manually delete all files and folders.
Checked registry for Logitech keys to be deleted.
Had a clean boot as suggested then reinstalled Setpoint 6.32 64bit and Gaming Software 8.20. 64bit (for my G11).
This time I did not install GamePanel Software 3.06 as my keyboard does not have a lcd display
After a normal boot both my G5 and G11 are detected and working fine or so it seems
There's still a small isssue with Setpoint not showing in the notification area at startup

Right click on taskbar > Properties
Taskbar tab
Notification area > Customize
How is set point set up in there, or is it not even showing up in there? The one you're looking for is SetPoint Event Manager for the G5.
