I just installed the Setpoint 6.15 update for win7 x64 G500 mouse from the G500 download page:
I opened Setpoint to setup my preferences and under "Setpoint Options" the software version listed is 5.40.39 / driver version 5.10.9??
I then uninstalled, restarted and downloaded another copy of the software from the ftp site:
ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/setpo
After installation the SetPoint version is still 5.40.39???
What's the deal? Shouldn't the version be 6.15.25?
Anyone else run into this problem?

Me too. Very annoying. Tried it multiple times, when I go into the mouse setpoint, it shows the 5.4 but when I go into the keyboard, it shows 6.15.
Everytime I hit update in the mouse setpoint, it always says I'm up to date, but clearly I am not. Even with the manual download and install, I run into the same problems as OP. Very buggy updater.

Same problem with me. Win7 x64. Any assistance from Logitech would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
i think i have the same problem, but i found something that could be usefull for you to.
There are 2 Applications installed with SetPoint
first is the 'Device Manager" (in SetPointG folder) Version 5.40.39 Driver 5.10.9
and "SetPoint.exe" (in SetPointP folder) Version 6.15.6 and same Driver 5.10.9.
is it the same for you?
Cheers,

I've just installed the "latest" Setpont and noticed it it 5.40.39 with driver 5.10.9. (Windows 7 64bit)
Just like atemlos, on SetPointG folter, the SetPointII.exe is version 5.40.39. But on SetpointP folder, Setpoint.exe is version 6.15.6

Setpoint 6+ contains too seperate apps, for G series and non-G series mice.
6.15 is for non-G series
5.40 is for G-Series.
