Unable to install Setpoint 6.32 on Windows 7 x64

Ok, I am trying to install Setpoint 6.32 and I getthe following every single time:

Setpoint failed to install.  Please restart your computer and try again.  (223,224,225,221,222)

I never had setpoint installed on the computer before, and because I cannot install Setpoint my G5 mouse is not being recognized by Windows 7 other than as a HID mouse.

So each time I am using the Administrator account and hitting run as administrator when I load the file.  I have cleared the registry of any reference to setpoint, all 2 that were there.  I have also gone to Msconfig and hit hide all Microsoft serviceds then disable all on the boot, and disabled everything in the startup.

But still this stupid broken program will not install.  Need a fix and need it now.

Hello MikeRM2,

I would suggest trying to install Setpoint in a Clean Boot mode.

You can download the latest software from here:

32 Bit

64 Bit

Re: Unable to install Setpoint 6.32 on Windows 7 x64

Well, I downloaded the 64bit version of Setpoint 6.32, followed the instructions for a clean boot, and guess what?

It DOES NOT work worth a **bleep**. I still get that stupid message: "Setpoint has encountered a problem, and cannot

continue. Please reinstall Setpoint to correct this" The very same message I got in with a standard boot AND also in

Safe Mode. Nothing works, this program is a piece of s---! Hopefully, the instructions will work to return my Win 7 O/S

to its original state!

I'm getting fed up with this crap as my finger tips are wearing out faster than my patience. Look like it's time to dump

Logitech after around 20 years with them!
