Hi. I have a history of logitech mice, and I think your MX518 was the best mouse ever. I'm a fairly competitive gamer, and let me tell you, the weight crap that you're pulling is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Do you even consult top gamers? Every single gamer that is even remotely competitive will tell you how the mouse has to be as light as humanly possible.
Reason for this is simple - sensitivities are typically low when it comes to competition, and a user has to pull up the mouse and scroll it repeatedly over the same surface to make sharp turns. A heavy mouse just hampers this ability to oblivion. Do you even realize this?
Just ask around. The G500 is pretty heavy for a gaming mouse when I pull out the weight carrier and all the weights, thanks to all the metal parts (like the wheel).
For whatever next series you're planning to make, for the love of God, don't put in weights or so many needless metal parts.

I disagree. I play a lot of FPS's and I find a certain amount of weight to be comfortable. I got pretty big hands and I need a certain size and weight in my mouse otherwise I feel I'm overshooting. My friends that have upgraded to the G5 also agree and enjoy customizing their weight settings.
