G-series Gaming Mice

hi guys,

i just got this mice. aside from the lack of led switch (i am still hopeful...is it really omitted out?), i am experiencing a high pitching hmming noise coming from the unit. I was able to confirm this by lifting the mouse up and setting it back down when the laser become re-activated. This high pitch noise is driving me crazy... is there anything i can do other than returning this fantastic mouse back to the retailer for exchange?

I had a similar issue, I ended up rma'ing it back.

The replacement still hums but not as loud.

Yeah, it's mainly bad luck.

I've had happen with TVs, Amplifiers, Monitors, Mouses, Motherboards, Video cards, anything electronic.

It's pretty much luck of the draw when your hearing is above average.

well i got another replacement from ncix (awesome retailer btw) and to my dismay its still radiating that annoying noise. I wonder if i can do exchange it again... man i really liked this mouse too ;(

I suggest keep rma'ing till you get a good one.

I did that. It's due to their QA. Some dont make that noise, where as others do.

thats interesting... how many mice did u rma'd before u find a good one? in my case i am just gonna exchange it with ncix.. but i am sure at some point they will not allow me to do that since i'd be breaking the seals and they'd have to sell as opened box.

or perhaps u rma'd directly with logitech and was able to get a replacement? if so how long did that take? i still have my deathadder so i can do without the mouse for now if its required to resolve this.

Get a case number from logitech and go back to the shop and swap it for a new one

The shop needs the case number so they can be reinbursed by logitech. Takes 1 hour.

hmm ncix didnt allow me to exchange for the 3rd one...they wanted me to try another model instead... i was about to refund when they said i'll be dinged with a 15% restocking fee...

how do u go about getting the case number? I sent a smg to logitech support explaining my situation but i havent heard from them yet. sighhh
