g9x lifting issues

So the lift distance is more than 1 cm and shaking at last like parkinson, that on the mw3 cloth pad and any other surfaces, but not on black surfaces at all-it's like 2mm and no shakiness. Is this a defective unit?i tested on other pc and same problem.

Re: g9x lifting issues

yea I just bought my g9x like 3 days ago and have lifting issues.
When I play cod every time I lift the mouse it starts shaking and things so its harder to play... Im using steelseries qck mousepad.

Re: g9x lifting issues

Ok,so my statement wasn't 100% correct,it's not working(without jitter) on black cloth and on black hard plastic it's just much better but not inexistent(tested on my new roccat sota). So once again when lifted(every surface)the laser still reads at about 2mm or so,after that is not for about 2 or 3 mm then starts jittering for about 4/5 mm(just the height i use to recenter) after it stops.Come on logi say something,is this at least fixeable?i know it's messed with lots of g9x's(every one makes mistakes),may if you kill the lift down to 1 mm will help:smileylol:

there is a quick easy fix for this if you don't want to return your mouse. All you need is scotch tape.

Go to http://okthing.blogspot.com/2010/11/correcting-logitech-g9x-gaming-mouse.html and read the post to see how to fix this.

Logitech should not me marketing this as a gaming mouse with a CD width like this. For 50 dollars this should have the standard 1-2mm CD width most other mice have, my 20 dollar cheap wireless mouse has a better CD width than this. In my opinion having to do a fix like this on a mouse that costs as much as this is pure lazyness from the designers.
