Cordless rumblepad with Maden 07, D-pad stuck

[ Edited ]
Can someone help me? I have a cordless rumblepad, unit has been working flawlessly. I accidently droped it(about 18 inches on to carpet) now it seems to be stuck or something. I got it to reconnect with the reciever but now the D-pad seems to be stuck in the down position. This was NOT a very hard blow. Unit is maybe six months old, and I am spoiled now, I hate the corded controller, please help!!!!! After reading some of the other post this seems to be a fairly commmon problem, come on tech guys, how bout a lil help!!

Ok guys tell me I am not just wasting my money for what I thought was a good product. I bit the bullet and bought a new unit because the old one was maybe six months old and I didnt have a reciept. Now I hook up the new one and it does the same thing except instead of moving the player( I should have mentioned it is mainly used for Madden)forward now it goes sideways. This is ridiculous the bad thing is that I have had another unit do this same thing but was about a year old so I kinda blew it off. Come on tech, how bout a lil help or so called support
