PS2 cordless action not working

I have seen this problem posted but not resolved.

My cordless action controller doesn't seem to connect.
Light on controller stays lit but receiver green light stays flashing.

If you hold button on receiver for a few seconds green light flashes slower AND red light on controller also flashes, so there is some communication, but when you let go light on controller stays on, receiver flashes. pushing buttons causes no actions. If you shut off console receiver does flash a few times and shut off.

Anybody have any idea what to do? I have changed batteries and all that

Thanx

Re: PS2 cordless action not working

Hi harry1,

With regards to your issue, I suggest that you try to resynchronize the gamepad to the receiver. Please refer to the link below as a reference to resynchronize the gamepad to the receiver.

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=873&p_created=1089389349

I hope that this will resolve your problem.

Hey Harry1 I also have the same problem too. Just today I was play with my controller this morning and it was working fine. then I help out with my family with a little thing and tried to get back on the game. then next thing I notice it wont connect. it dose the same this you said "the controller RED LCD light wont light up and the receiver GREEN(its green on mine)LCD light blink fast. But once I press and hold the receiver the LCD light slows down and the controller RED LCD light blinks fast once I press a button. I have read up on answer ID 873 "Tutorial: Reconnecting/Synchronize cordless Gamepads and Joysticks" and work it out, but nothing happens. The RED LCD light just blinks fast for ten seconds, and then just quit. I don't want to buy a new if i have too. So can anyone help out?

Re: PS2 cordless action not working

I'm having the same problem, the receiver light would flash and holding down the button would just slow the flash down. I've tried resynchronizing but doesn't work, I've also replaced the battery several times and it's a no go. I'm thinking it's a problem with the receiver I've been searching to see if I could buy a receiver but I'm having no luck in that regard and If I'm forced to buy another controller it won't be Logitech.

mhicks931-

Has this controller worked in the past? I'd power off your PS2, then pull the batteries from the controller. Wait 3 minutes. Install a fresh pair of batteries into the controller, then power on your PS2. Hold down the sync button on the receiver for 15 seconds, then press the X button on your gamepad. Does that resolve your issue?

Re: PS2 cordless action not working

I have the exact problem listed in this thread.  I tried your solution, but the controller still won't work, after working flawlessly for at least a year.  Any other suggestions?
