We've had our ps2 with cordless controller for quite a while.  For some reason, every game we play now is in constant motion.  For example... in the Crash Twinsanity game... when you take your hands off the controller... the character is supposed to just stand there... but he doesn't.. he is constantly walking.  The same happens with Medal of Honor.  The guy you are in the game is constantly walking when you don't touch anything... he is supposed to just stand there. 

I tried unplugging the receiver and changing the batteries.  Is there a setting or something that we accidentally changed????

Pull out one of the batteries, hold down L1 and L2, and while not touching the thumbsticks, reinsert the battery. That should recalibrate the controller.
