I'm really looking to get a racing wheel for Christmas. I have the following games for the silver PS2:
NFS: Most Wanted
NFS: Carbon
NFS: Hot Pursuit 2
Soon to get NFS: Undercover
Chevy vs Ford
And tuns of other ones. I'm really open to buying any PS2 game.
I'd just like to know, which Logitech PS2 wheel is capable with most of the racing games? I guess it'd really be the oldest one, but I'm really not to sure! I can't find a list of capable games, like the G25.
If I can't use any games with the Paddle Shifters/Shifter (I'd really prefer one with a shifter, obviously not 6 speed.) then I might end up going to 360 with their racing wheel
Also, do any of the games on PS2 work with the G25 on a PS2? This includes the 6 speed, or just the FFP.

The Driving Force EX (Paddle shifter) or Driving Force Pro (Sequential shifter and paddles) wheels will be your best bet for most of those games. Have you checked with the game manufacturer to see who has implemented Logitech Driving Force support in those wheels?
I don't want to issue a blanket statement about other company's games (Especially since some versions on certain platforms will have different levels of wheel support), but here's a list of Logitech tested PS2 games with a Driving Force Pro:
