i have the same problem, installed the software both off the CD and website and still the controller is not detected when I try to configure it...
works basically without the software on a plug and play level, but not even the diagonals on the dpad work this way... any help would be appreciated. I just bought this **bleep** thing.

Hi KhameleonN,
1) Is the Dual Action Controller plugged directly into the computer USB port or is it going through a USB hub? If it's going through a hub, please make sure to have it directly connected to a USB port directly attached to your computer.
2) When you're testing the controller on a "plug and play level," are you testing this inside the Control Panel => Game Controllers?
3) If you can, plug this controller onto a USB port in another computer system and see if it works natively by going inside the Control Panel => Game Controllers section. This way we can clearly determine if it's the controller or system settings problem.
