G5/G15 Setpoint Problems?

I have both G5/G15 and Setpoint refuses to find them?  I don't get it.  I like Logitech but Setpoint is just a kick to the side.  I would really like to customize my settings but it's impossible without setpoint.  Thanx for the help.

Setpoint does not support the G15. Please install the G-Series Keyboard Software instead.

Re: G5/G15 Setpoint Problems?

If after you download the LGKS and your computer is still not recognizing the mouse and keyboard. You might want to try pluging the Keyboard into another USB port on your computer with the mouse connected to one of the USB ports on the G15. Then power cycle your computer. Yes, USB is hotswappable but if you restart your computer you will create a new entry in your registry wich will most likely solve your problem.

Re: G5/G15 Setpoint Problems?

It's curious that Setpoint wont recognize your G5 mouse. Do you currently have any other Logitech mice plugged into your system? Do you see a "My Mouse" tab in SetPoint? Does the G5 show up in Device Manager? Also, your G15 will not show up in SetPoint. The G15 driver set is found in the Logitech Gaming Keyboard Software download (LGKS v1.04, available on our download page). Go ahead and download that.

FYI, this thread looks DOA but I have the same problem with the G5. Setpoint recognized the G5 yesterday and every day since I installed it but it did not recognize anything today (no changes to system). The G5 is in device manager though, and I have no other mice plugged in my system. I have a Logitech 'Wave' keyboard an it doesn't appear in Setpoint today either (software re-install does not fix). Not to mention when I programmed buttons on the G5 (when Setpoint was working) they seemed not to work: if I programmed a buttom as a keystroke the keystroke would appear in a document but would not work in a game if I assigned a game function to that keystroke. Very frustrating. I have Vista32 by the way.

Re: G5/G15 Setpoint Problems?

If it were possible to customize my G5 mouse buttons in the G-Series Keyboard Profiler, your answer would be a helpful one. Unfortunately, the Keyboard Profiler does not appear to acknowledge the existence of the G5, creating the appearance that Logitech's two most prominent gaming controllers are incompatible.
