Re: Logitech game pad and GRAN TURISMO 5 Prologue

We have observed that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue only supports the Sony OEM controllers and racing wheels that identify themselves as Logitech Driving Force Wheels. All 3rd party gamepads, that connect via USB, appear not to be supported by Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.

That is a good observation. What other games have you observed do not work with that game pad? This would an excellent detail to put on the web sight where you sell this particular product. :robotmad:

Does a logitec driving force weel work through walls?

Well, for example, we've also seen issues with Rainbow Six, LAIR, and Little Big Planet. Unfortunately, this gamepad was designed and finalized before Sony announced motion sensing, so some games that require it have had a hard time with this controller.

And we do have a wireless racing wheel: The Driving Force Wireless. It's actually kind of nice. It only does 200 degrees of rotation, but it's a lot more casual and easy to set up than our other wheels

OK. cool. Any change to improve/upgrade this game pad. I love having my play station hidden because I am turning 40 this year and it just not that cool having sitting on the floor any more.

Just hide the games and tell everyone you only use it for watching Blu-Ray movies: They'll all nod accordingly, cause that's the perfectly acceptable "grown up" reason to own a PS3 :smileywink:

The problem isn't necessarily in the pad, but how the game decides to use the controller. So there's not much we can directly do, but we are seeing id there's a way we can resolve these issues via other methods with cooperation from the game developers.
