Re: This is a suggestion for G25's successor

hi i would also like to give my input.  i find that logitech with its g25 is a step in the right direction, and closer to the ideal steering wheel setup.  i love the fact that logitech decided to add the 6 speed H pattern shifter on the g25, as well as a functional clutch pedal.  I do have a few grips about the g25 though.

1) the shifter feels too light and hollow.  it has a fake an empty feeling to it.  it would be awesome to improve on the feeling of the shifter, and the way it slides into the gates for each gear.  because right now it just feels like a child's toy, no offense.

2) too many wires, too much a mess.  maybe bluetooth is the solution?  i really find it a bother to have a mess of wires to and fro from each piece of the machine.

3) clutch pedal a bit too close to the brake pedal.  maybe a slight bit more distance would do the trick.

4) +1 on the handbrake and getting support for it in future games.  would definately be a wonderful thing if it will work with gran turismo 5 for the ps3.

thats all i can think of for now.  i would honestly be willing to pay the extra for such a wheel.  that and because of logitech's excellent customer service, itll be a great seller.

the clamping system may need some further development.  the shifter keeps sliding off the table :smileysad:  and yes it is really tight to the point in which i might strip the screws.

Does your table have a flat or beveled edge?
