So the question is really simple, i have done a bit of research onto this forums, but i could not find a clear answer to the following main question: Will the Logitech Chillstream gamepad for PS3 work on PC with an operating system Windows Vista 64-bit ? If yes, will it be fully supported in the most games, like Race Driver:Grid, or Devil May Cry 4 ?
I heard that the PS button is not working correctly, but i could not find what a PS button exactly is. I am asking this mainly, becouse i really hate the Xbox layout and there is no better gamepad in the price range i aim, so i am glad, if it will work nicely. It´s a shame, that there is no PS layout native for PC. But the gamepad is really nice. I hope i will get a qualiffied answer. Sorry for some typos, and have a nice day. Thanks. icefiresr

The Chillstream for PS3 will indeed function on PCs. They will use the built-in HID drivers. In fact, all of the buttons should function just fine on a PS3 (There is no PS button on the chillstream for PS3: It's hardware development was completed before the PS3 was released, and Sony announced last-minue additions to the PS3 controller. I'll spare you the details, but some final-spec controller additions, like the PS button and motion sensing, were not added to the controllers.
As an interesting side note, since these are completely standard HID controllers, they actually work great on PCs. I cannot promise they will function perfectly with specific games (Especially Games for Windows games: They sometimes have very iffy HID controller support), but I can tell you that I have personally used the Chillstream for PS3 on PCs and Macintosh computers without problem.

Thanks for the nice and long answer.
Well i have seen something similar in other topics, but have you tried it under Vista 64-bit ? Or is it the same as with any other mentioned operating system? That´s the main thing that is scaring me off, before i buy it, i am afraid of compatibillity issues under this computer OS, cuz i seen a topic with problems under Vista 64.
