Airline ban on wireless mouse?

I have just landed in DC with a Delta flight. Despite I have been using a Logitech wireless mouse connected to my laptop for years, tonight a flight attendant told me use of a wireless mouse is forbidden by FAA regulation and made me stop using it. As this was happening in a WI-FI enabled jet (not exactly a wireless-free environment) I feel the whole thing was totally ludicrous.

If anybody at Logitech is reading this, could you please let me know if this is indeed true? If it is, it sounds like a bummer for your business....... not having a cable on a relatively small space like an airplane seat is exactly the reason why I bought one!
