Re: Forum Format

WA - I can think of two possibilities for not fixing this repulsive unreadable forum: 1) trying to kill it as you mentioned, or 2) it's a high school or college project of some influential person's kid, and we're stuck with this mess until the end of the semester, after which in may or may not be fixed.

I'm embarrased that this is an 'official' and 'professional' website...it makes me glad to be able to say that I do NOT work for logitech

Re: Forum Format

I take the long wait to mean that we'll never see any appearance changes to this forum...at least not for a long long time

Re: Forum Format

Another problem: using the Rich Text editor disables Firefox's spell check and makes it so that coming Back to the reply page is blank, so you have to re-type your whole message if the post failed.

not sure if it has been mentioned but predefined text macros still dont work on site. and changing avatar icon.....

and is there a way to add TAGS to other peoples posts. i cant find a way to do it since the update.

also on high contrast monitors you can barely see many of the Grey lines on the site. if i turn contrast down REALLY low i can see the site how it was intended but is too dark for my preference. with my contrast normal the site just looks too white.......

and the date issues... (see pic)

stats.JPG

also inserting images always goes to the top of the textbox not at the cursor. must drag and drop into proper place and/or insert multiple images in reverse order. each new image gets placed ABOVE the last.......

also the on-site spell check doesnt even include Logitech.....  now that is dumb.....

Re: Forum Format

[ Edited ]

This 'light colours/shades-on-white' scheme literally, honestly gives me migraines.  It's hard to look at, and causes eye-strain when attempting to read anyhting.  In other words, it doesn't just look horrible, but causes pain and suffering.  No joke - it's awful!!  At least give us the ability to choose a colour scheme that wasn't dreamed-up by a sadist.

Why so many bells and whistles?  It wouldn't be a problem if it worked properly, but it still doesn't!  There are endless issues with text input while posting.  Just try highlighting freshly-typed lines of text via shift+arrows, then delete it with back-space/del, and watch the text unpredictably reappear while some invisible new lines are inserted below the last line that cannot be removed without posting and re-editing.  This is just one of countless bugs and unexpected behaviours that plague it.

Reading these pages causes me PAIN!

Again - THIS FORUM IS HORRENDOUS!  I suspect it is losing you customers - loyal and new.

Re: Forum Format

Since they changed it to white it is hard to read. It looks like crap and hard on your eyes. The serach has changed too. Just awful.

Re: Forum Format

What is with this stupid forum?  Why can't I change this weird avatar?  These list selection buttons are horrible!  And everything on this site is so SLOW to load.  This pale blueish text is hard for me to read.  Is anyone at Logitech listening?

Re: Forum Format

By now you have probably noticed the new look of the Logitech Forum. This is the first of several planned changes that will be occurring over the next few months. This first phase introduces our new easier-to-read design. Over the next several weeks we will be reorganizing some of the existing boards and also adding some new ones. These changes should improve our community's usability by making it easier to scan and read threads, search for existing solutions and to navigate between boards.

We are also in the process of ramping up our team to provide a larger company presence on the Forums. Starting in late June / early July you will begin to see more Logitech participation on all the boards. In addition, we are also looking at more ways to actively engage our community members and collaborate with our super users. Stay tuned for more details.

We would love to hear from you, our valued forum members, on how we can make this a better community for everyone. Please tell us what you think of the new look. We will keep you posted as we roll out the rest of the planned changes in the coming months.
