As a long time Logitech user, this whole situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth and has caused me to never purchase another Logitech product. I purchased several mice for my office mainly because all of the mice were eligible for rebates. When I check the various Logitech websites, my rebate submissions do not show up at all.
Logitech should have made their customers aware of the situation. Forcing customers to have to resubmit rebates, giving them rebate checks that may bounce, and not giving them their rebates shows that Logitech has no respect for their customers. I should not have had to find out about this in the forum. It should have been on the front page of Logitech's website.
Thanks Logitech for screwing me out of $200 in rebates. I hope you enjoy the money as you will never see another dime from me or my family.

I filed my rebate forms months ago. On January 30th, I called Logitech Customer Service and they told me to resubmit by mail or fax. I faxed all material to them (after multiple tries since their fax machine kept cutting off).
I have received NOTHING, there is still no listing for rebate ever being filed.
Logitech products should be avoided until they get their act cleaned up....and judging from the e-mail history, that is not likely to happen.

That's not a bad idea. It might also be useful to contact Amazon.com as well as companies like Best Buy, etc. that sell their products. If is reflection on them as well.
This has gone on too long. They just do NOT pay rebates as they advertise. If anyone HAS received their's in a timely fashion, please note it here. I want to be fair, but something is just not right with Logitech's service and business ethics.

Hello everyone,
There's been enough anger on this thread that I thought I would post my positive experience. I am NOT associated with Logitech in any way, other than the fact that I own a Logitech keyboard and web-cam.
I was also a bit worried when I heard about CPG filing chapter 11. I could not find a live person knowledgable about the rebate status. In the end, I sent a PM to Layla, who referred me to Edna. Edna was tremendously helpful, and I even spoke to somebody AT Logitech who had the rebate information.
I sent her the PDF, and she was able to find my record with a bunch of other ones that had been approved. I was told to wait a few more weeks because CPG basically just dumped all of their records at Logitech and their transition team, and everything needed to be resorted and processsed. Everybody I spoke to was courteous and helpful, and appreciative of my patience.
I have seen NO sign of Logitech trying to screw me out of my money. I believe contacting them might have spead things up in my case, but I also believe that if I did nothing, my entry would have eventually been re-entered and I would still get my rebate.
I blame CPG for not helping with the transition, not Logitech. Perhaps they could have more actively engaged those applying for the rebates to keep them informed of the situation. Though I believe sending out a postcard or email to everyone would probably flood them with more complaints and phone calls, slowing down the transition and rebate processing even more.
So before you go on a rant, please consider interacting with the Logitech staff and private message them when they suggest it. It's not their fault their rebate processor went bankrupt.
Thanks for considering my thoughts.

I got both my keyboard and webcam with rebates. The webcam was my more recent purchase, and while it was significantly delayed due to CPGs situation, I did get it eventually.
I currently still have a very high percentage rate on rebates (above 97%). If you want to expect your money:
1) follow the form instructions carefully
2) scan or copy everything and be ready to fax or email it in a worst-case scenario
3) make a note on your date book to follow up
4) be patient.
I will admit there have been several times where I have been asked to resubmit (not Logitech, except in the CPG case), but I got my money in the end.
If you mail all the required documents in a timely manner, keep copies to be faxed on request, and remember to follow up, you will be on the top of any rebate processor's list. Even if there was some dishonest company that wanted to screw a percentage of eligable rebaters, you are unlikely to be one of the unfortunate ones. There are probably enough other people who have submitted late or didn't include a UPC etc.
If you don't have the time to do those steps above, then know that you're taking a risk when you are buying. I don't find the steps to be too time consuming. If you think it takes up too much of your time, then perhaps you're financially worth more than the hassle of the rebate.

I am glad you had a positive experience. However, it is a bit of reach to imply that the posts on this site have been anything other than calm or patient. Layla's first message about the problem was posted on JUNE 4, 2008. Even in June she was thanking everyone for their "patience"...obviously it had been going on a long time BEFORE June 4th. There have been 54 posts since that time.
As for me, I followed all the steps, kept all the copies etc. In NOVEMBER, I sent the information to the El Paso address because of a post here indicating the Arizona (Or was it Minnesota) Rebate Center was having a problem. (However, the note still indicated if it was sent to the other address it would be paid.) After it was mailed I still had not received a Tracking number in January. I called in January and was told to Re-Submit a fax to a phone numbe of: 888-864-5763. As of today, nothing appears on the website that it has been received nor has a Tracking number been provided.
Sorry, but it seems just a bit too long to me and I can't recommend Logitech to anyone considering it.....unless a rebate is just not important.

JackBMC,
I'm sorry that you're still in limbo. I will admit that it was not an easy experience to find the right person to talk to.
Edna ended being the one who made everything happen. I'll PM you her contact information. Hopefully that will do the trick.
