Logitech Rebate Submitted and status is Invalid. Help please.

[ Edited ]

On January 12th, 2010, I received an email from Logitech stating that my rebate claim had been received. In this email was a link to track my rebate. Upon following the link, I immediately noticed that the rebate submission was labeled as invalid. The reason, as stated, was that I was missing the UPC. I was very careful to include all necessary items and details, as requested by Logitech, with my rebate submission. I was sure to make copies of my submission items and documentation before they were sent in.

I called the number I found on the bottom of my Logitech Rebate form. The number is 877-755-3837. I spoke with a representative who told me that I would have to send in the original UPC to receive my rebate. I explained to her that I had sent in my original UPC and have copies that I was willing to send in to prove it, but she insisted that they could only accept an original UPC and that without it I would not be receiving my rebate. I requested to have my call escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor I spoke with was Erwin. Erwin was very polite, but also insisted that the only way I would be receiving my rebate check would be to submit the original UPC. If I had submitted it and it had been somehow lost, then I was out of luck.

At this point, I am unsure what I am able to do. I am willing to provide copies of all of my submission information. This includes a copy of the original UPC that I removed from my Logitech mouse's box. My rebate tracking number is: removed by mod.

It is not a good idea to place tracking numbers here. Theoretically, someone could impersonate you and steal your package.

Please help. Thank you.

Re: Logitech Rebate Submitted and status is Invalid. Help please.

I have a similar problem. Just went to their website to check my rebate status on Logitech HarmonyOne for $50 bought in Frys in November. The status was invalid UPC.

I called the rebate center and was told that the UPC sent did have the correct part number on top (as stated in the logitech rebate form) but the upc number below the scan was not part of the promotion.

I was shocked at this lame excuse. I had in front of me the frys rebate receipt and the copy of the UP and the copy of the rebate form and they all point to a $50 rebate from logitech for the remote that I bought at Frys.

I asked for a manager and was told he was the manager. He told me that they will investigate with senior management and within ten days will hear from them via email. I said I want to get my rebate validated right nom as I have satisfied all the requirements stated on the form. He would not budge on my request. I asked the telephone nbr for logitech and called them. I was told to contact the rebate center for any dispute. This is really smart. Point fingers at each other and dont pay the rebate to the customer.

I have faxed my copies to Frys for their comment and hope they can put pressure on them. At this point I really feel that this is a scam by logitech to with hold the rebate money.

Please logitech let us know that this is not true.

thanks
