logitech rebates are awful, less than 50% probability to get your $

I buy a number of items and am very experienced with rebates. I have close to 95% rebates paid out. For Logitech rebates it is less than 50%. SO far 3 out of 8 rebates are rejected claiming no UPC. I KNOW there are UPCs. 2 rebate checks I never received. The Logitech rebate center has 2 choices of contact: email, which they NEVER respond to (10 emails, zero response) and voice mail - they dont answer the phone, and guess what, they dont return your phone call most of the time either. The one time they called back (after leaving about 10 voice messages), they were very courteous and promised me to fix the problem with the 5 problematic rebates and guess what, nothing happened! Nothing changed on the web site on status, zippo after 3 more months! Therefore, there is ZERO way to fix the problem. It is so bad, I suspect that Logitech somehow encourages them not to pay out rebates. In any case, save the aggravation and forget about logitech rebates. I am speaking with a statistically significant sample (8 rebates) to make this case, No other manufacturer rebate, even from the same handling group has this problem!

I had to have my mouse RMA'ed and was given an inferior mouse that I did not like. Then when that one died they refused to take it back. I will not recommend or purchase logitech again. Thanks to the tech support people that made me feel regret for spending my money here.

interestingly, i also had to rma a mouse. I spent about 20 min convincing the tech it was dead, dead dead. Once the tech had me go thru quite a lot of tests, he also agreed it was dead. They sent me a replacement except it was a different color. I give them a A for effort and B- for execution.

sorry, but 8 is still a small sample size.  and considering it's coming from one individual, your statistical results could be more skewed with a possible consistent error in filling out the form or something of that nature.

statistically speaking, anything under a sample size of 30 is typically too small of a sample size to assume a normal distribution.  a cross section of people and time and a larger sample size would provide a better statistical analysis

Re: logitech rebates are awful, less than 50% probability to get your $

I agree so much I bought two logitec webcams and now they are saying they lost my rebate with CircuitCity (the rebate from CC worked fine) but logitec is shhhhhh to say the least - I had the cameras two month and one has a hardware issue I have just been on the ühone with them for 40 minutes which is too long and no solution . Never, ever again a logitec product I hope they go bust

Welcome to the Logitech Community Discussion Forums K1234! :smileyhappy:

If you have a copy of the rebate form(s) you sent, I'm sure they will accept this as proof-of-purchase (you did make copies...didn't you)?

Thanks.

At least yours was rejected.  I have failed to hear ANYTHING from ANYONE and have tried to contact Logitech in manners similar to the OP.  Thus far, I am extremely frustrated in Logitech's breach of our agreement (90+ days have passed without any word on my rebate) and failure to communicate.  I was originally supposed to be paid (according to the rebate site) on 11/12/2008, but that date was replaced with a "in process" message.

Thankfully, I did make copies of my documents.

Wow! I can imagine the frustration you all must feel. I am at a loss as I use Logitech exclusivly for all our Company computers and my home PC's as well. In the past 8 years or so I have never had a problem that Logitech didn't go out of their way to fix...NEVER! I just can't understand what would cause you to have such bad luck with so many rebates. I am sure if you PM one of the Logitech people here they will get to the bottom of it. Good Luck!

Re: logitech rebates are awful, less than 50% probability to get your $

You know, it is interesting.  For some reason, perhaps because the rebates are a scam, any PM I send to a moderator is ignored if it pertains to a rebate.  They are quite quick it replying to other inquiries.  I cannot believe the amount of time I have wasted on this, and I urge anyone thinking of buying a product because of the rebate to think again.  It is simply NOT worth it.
