Harmony Remote - General

Hi, All:


I'm a Harmony newbie researching the One... Here's a more recent manual for the One, it's V1.1 (instead of 1.0). I briefly compared the two versions but it appears to be identical other than formatting changes resulting in one more page totalling 40.

Unfortunately, the manual doesn't specifically address my particular installation questions so I'll post those in the appropriate forum once I've compiled my thoughts.

This is for Wannabeactuary..I just opened my first  Harmony One.....Boy I could use a more complete manuel being a newbee at this. I was wondered how these universal remotes worked,....now I'm finding out. I noticed that at the end of your posts you have a description of your system. I too have a Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD DVR. Can the H1  be programmed for the recording part of the cable box? Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Dogdonald

dogdonald...I am able to take complete advantage of my Explorer 8300HD.  The database has commands for A B C and List (and of course guide, directional commands and ok/select), which is basically all you need to access and record programs.  I currently have it setup to record: Family Guy, American Dad, Entourage, Big Love, 24, House, Heroes, Paranormal State, Fringe, Lost, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Smallville, Dexter and I'm sure some others that are escaping me at the moment.

Welcome to the forum.

You should find in the Harmony software that you use to add devices and activities, an option to select the Manual.
