I figured, but I'm not in tune with voltage differences etc...didn't know what was handled by the ac adapter and if the battery needed to be different...IIRC, the battery/ac adapter handles the 100-240 voltage range, right?

Right! And the ouput voltage of the adapter is the same all over the world, only the plugs of the adapter are different .

       Thanks very much for your help. I have been trying to find a battery for about 6 weeks now and this is the 1st time I've seen a reference to purchase a battery for the 1000. I'll order it today and let you know how I go,

This would be nice. I think I remember  that your are european based. It would be of interest, how long they need for delivery, and how much they charge for shipping overseas.

Edit: Just noticed that we were dicussing about a 1000i, that means you should be based somewhere in the Australian/New Zealand area. Despite that, keep us informed.

Hi,

the german site says the same, but the wording is a little bit different. They say they ship it for free, but this means they will not charge you for shipping, as I understand it.

I appear to have come across a new problem. When I go through the process of ordering a new battery it asks which state of the US I am in. I am based in Australia and there is no option for overseas sales. I will contact Logitech in the US and ask if there is a way around this!

Just a final word on this - I sent an email to Logitech in the USA about the problem with no overseas sales for this battery, they kindly sent me a new battery - free of charge! Thanks Logitech!
