H1 Rebooting

Hi all,

Just got my H1 last night and every thing went fine the first time, just needs a little tweaking now. The problem I'm having is for no reason it reboots, then the time and date have to be reset. It did this 2 or 3 times last night. I did remove the battery and reinstall it, but it did it again. Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks

Re: H1 Rebooting

Hi and welcome.

What does this "reboot" involve, other than the date and time setting?

Re: H1 Rebooting

 Thanks for the reply,

All the settings are there still, it just seems to loose power then reboots and the assistance screens comes up. I exit out of that then it works fine. I did check the battery and it seems seated right. Battery is fully charged.

Re: H1 Rebooting

The screen showing either the selection of Activities, Commands for the current Activity, Favourite Channels, or Devices, is showing but disappears and is replaced by something else?
Most unusual - I would report this to Logitech support with all the details.

Re: H1 Rebooting

Maybe I said that wrong, after the remote reboots its in the assistance screen the one like right after you program or update the remote.

Re: H1 Rebooting

That's OK - I understand - the "something else" that appears is the page that normally appears after an update.

Do give the details to Logitech support for their attention and solution of the problem.

Re: H1 Rebooting

Well last night when I got home I rebooted it to safe mode with no battery in it just hooked to the usb cable, then shot the firmware to it. I put the battery back in then updated it and it was fine all of last night. I hope it stays this way. I will report back in a few days and let ya know if that fixed it or not.

OK - Do let us know, though I'd have reported it to Logitech support anyway.

Re: H1 Rebooting

I did send support an email.

Another person on avs forum had the same problem and thats what support told him to try, it didn't fix his problem, but seems to have fixed mine for now. Two nights now and no reboots, maybe the battery just wasn't quite seated right.
