Another person on avs forum had the same problem and thats what support told him to try, it didn't fix his problem, but seems to have fixed mine for now. Two nights now and no reboots, maybe the battery just wasn't quite seated right.
from time to time this was known to happen on the 800 series. they actually created a battery spacer to make the battery sit better in the compartment. the redesign of the One's battery compartment was supposed to eliminate this issue, but in some cases people have had problems.
what happens is if the battery doesn't make full contact all the time, the remote powers off and then when contact returns, it starts up again...essentially rebooting. if the behavior returns, I would contact tech support for a replacement, as it may be a problem with your battery compartment

WannabeActuary,
Thanks for that info. I did notice that when I removed the battery door one one occasion that the battery wasn't setting all the way down in the compartment. I looked at the battery cover and it seems to have two ribs on it that are suppose to hold the battery down. If this happens again, i may try a piece of index card on top of the battery and call tech support about this. The problem has not come back since the reload, so I'm not sure that is what fixed it as I had the battery out then and it has been reseated since.
