Hi - hopefully someone can shed some light, have had a look round the forum but can't find anything.
Got a Harmony 1000 this morning and have been trying to set it up - I hooked it all up as per the
instructions and installed the software etc. Went to get a cup of coffee and tidy up while it set
up. Came back and there was some sort of error message about not being able to update - I
assume it was updating the firmware at this point. Give me several options one of which was to
cancel etc so did this and tried again.
However, now the unit seems to be dead - have tried removing the battery and booting it into
safe mode but all that happens is that the blue activities button on the front flashes. If I use
the battery then all I get is a blank white or grey screen.
Any ideas what to do as this is driving me nuts :-)
Thanks in advance.

Can get it into safe mode as long as it's on the charger when I do it and can update the firmware to a point, but it now fails at the last hurdle saying the remote isn't connected. Will give tech support a call on Monday as you suggest and in the meantime have a replacement on the way just in case !
Thanks for the help.

Managed to restore the machine !
What I did was - when the firmware updater said it was rebooting the remote, I rebooted it myself into safe mode. The update then worked.
Seems to have worked - hope this is useful for anyone who has a similar problem.
