I have falled off button too and I could not find how to put it back. Strange thing was

that button has no marks of something broken.

Well then now I have to find just right glue

These remotes are just very poorly made.  I have a Harmony 360 remote and I have multiple buttons failing and this unit is less than two years old.  The buttons that are failing, I have to hold them down 10-20 seconds before the remote lights up and sends the signal for that button.  It is not a delay or repeat issue because it is like this across all devices.  My recommendation?  Don't use Logitech Harmony remotes.

I also have issues with my 880 Volume + button. I never use the channel so I don't know. Sometimes you have to press REALLY hard. Right now it seems the remote is changing the volume up and down on its own. It is very sporadic. I hope it isn't my 880 but I can't figure out anything else doing it.

I have a 520 and half the buttons have stopped working. I have cleaned them  numerous times and they only work for a short time again. Anyone know how the contact of the rubber pins on the circiut board actully works?

I have an 880, and had the same problems with the VOL + and CHAN+ buttons (onlY). After a lot of searching, it seemed someone had tried opening the body and putting a small beat of hot glue on top of the contact the buttons were supposed to press.

I did this using (non-conductive) plastic epoxy, just putting a very small drop on top of the metal contact the button presses down on. (if you get the drop into the contacts, you're going to glue them together and they'll never work again, so be careful). The amount I put on was literally about the size of a medium pin head (sticking up maybe 1/16th inch).

I let the epoxy harden overnight, then put the case back together, and this has completely solved the problems.

(Quick note on taking apart the case: There are two screws in the bottom; easy. Then there are FOUR locking tabs at midway through the top curve and the bottom on either side of the remote - near the "1" and the "3" and on either side of the screen, respectively. Getting these tabs to unlock is a pain, and it's accomplished by pushing rather hard with an object against the LOWER part of the remote case. I recommend doing it with a very small screwdriver lodged into the groove.)

I also found the "glow" ball bearing and motion sensor cap had simply come apart, and it clicked back together easily.

The remote now works perfectly.

I know it's not an elegant solution, but when you're out of warranty on a remote this expensive... well... it is a workaround

I have an 880 remote sitting in my closet right now. Only had it for a couple of years before i had the same issues as many of you. The volume up button and sometime the channel up button doesn't work. I also had a button fall off.

Logitech - are you guys offering a replacement plan for this? i'd like to upgrade to the ONE remote, since i don't trust the 880 anymore.

In my case, logitech changed my remote (by waranty). I can only say Thanks to logitech.

They send me new remote despite I'm living in Latvia, but remote was purchased in US.

I just had to send back old battery cover and charger to Europe office.

I have the same problem. The Vol Up and Chan Up gradually stopped working. The easiest workaround is programming the LCD buttons to do those two functions, but I am rather disappointed that Logitech has decided to take this stance when so many people are having the exact same hardware issue.

That the problem appears after around 14-18 months, just after the warranty expires, is even more annoying. I feel like something that costs this much should last longer than a year, year and a half. In any case, I'll use the LCD buttons for Vol and Chan up until the remote dies and never purchase a Logitech remote again.

My remote has been exhibiting the same issue. The VOL + button on the remote is failing. I have to press it a few times on different sides and if I'm lucky it works. I might try to take it apart and see if I can fix it. The warranty has been long expired.
