Re: Harmony One: Not recognized by USB

Just received my Harmony One in the post and am having the same problem. Help desk is only open during business hours and I really wish I'd known this was an issue before I splashed the cash for this thing. Let me know if anyone has any fixes.

It's usually better to e-mail for support rather than phone - or keep doing both until you get response!

Standard ideas for solving this are temporarily to disable firewalls, and to try other USB cables.

Re: Harmony One: Not recognized by USB

i had exactly the same problem... the configuration was winXP SP3 (also tested on sp2), harmony one & original logitech USB cable.

the computer didn't recognize the remote at all (also not in device manager). the remote shows the usb-connection symbol on the screen but I couldn't connect to the computer.

solution:

as soon as I changeng the USB cable everything worked fine. seems to be a problem wih the USB cable included in the harmony package. I'm using one of a mobile HDD now, it's shorter and works fine.

bye

Re: Harmony One: Not recognized by USB

Yes, that's another one that's always worth trying - a different USB cable.
