Harmony Remotes - Programming

I have an old logitech r-rc6 remote i have used for VMC and just got the harmony 720. I am VERY new with this and have tried to set up by picking media center pc then logitech then tried to learn the remote as i have the remote but does not seem to work at all and when i  pick have no remote does not find the r-rc6. I have also tried selecting media center pc then microsoft and media center and also will not work I am not sure what i am doing wrong or if the remote usb that came with the old logitech r-rc6 remote works with the 720. Any help would be GREAT!

I believe you are referring to the Logitech UltraX Media Remote.

This remote control is based on 2.4GHz RF cordless technology.

The USB dongle supplied with this unit will only respond to RF commands from the original remote.

Your best solution is to purchase a USB IR receiver that is compatible with Windows Media Center.

All harmony remotes are compatible with the original Microsoft Media Center IR language.
