Why does my Watch TV activity and OFF button NOT use the discrete Power On/Off codes that are accepted by my Hitachi 57F510 TV? Can I fix this?

Also, this TV accepts discrete input selections for the 5 video inputs, but I don't see any discrete commands to select Tuner A or Tuner B. I want to add "Watch Analog Cable" as an activity for when the PVR is busy recording something else. I can't do it if the remote can't select these tuners.

*bump*

:smileyvery-happy:

Seriously, how can we get the database updated if we have codes that aren't in Logitechs database? I have *ALL* the IR codes for my Hitachi 57F10 TV.

Do you mean you know the hex codes for these commands?

If so, e-mail them to Logi support for inclusion.

If that's not what you mean, haven't you tried "learning" the commands?

That too will make them available for other users.

I have emailed the codes to them before, but I haven't seen any changes.

I tried to paste the codes here, but the forum won't accept a message that long. Also, I don't see any way to attach a text file to a posting.

And were they in hex?

For each one that's 16 sets of 4 characters such as 0010 0A4B.....

If they were then chase Logi up with another message.

The text option shows a W, for MS Word, but we can't do anything with them in the forum.

Those aren't Hex Codes that Logiterch needs.  Each command would be represented by 16 groups of 4 letters/numbers each

Thanks for that SS but I did say each command needs 16 sets of 4 characters, and rehaz confirms it.

These are the codes produced by LIRC, and they do work...

Does anyone have an example of a couple codes in the format that Logitech wants?

I also see codes like this one (for discrete power off):

0000 0067 0000 0010 0060 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 032A
