AVR inputs cycled thru too far - get input I need, then keeps going and going and going...

Greetings,

Samsung AVR with 9 inputs.  I've altered the input order on the Harmony to match the samsung AVR.  Have a home theater system with samsung TV, samsung Blu ray, samsung amp (avr 730), and a Cable TV box.  All inputs go thru avr 730 amp and then via one HDMI cable to the TV.  When I power up the amp turns on as its supposed to - showing SAT HDMI 2 - and the TV works (for a few seconds).  Then the amp starts cycling through other inputs - SAT, SAT HDMI 2 (again), SAT, TV opt3, TV.  This seems to last 10 to maybe even 15 seconds from start to finish.

I can use the help button on the remote to get it to change the avr input to SAT - and then it works.  But I have to do this every time I start the system.

How can I get it to stop cycling through all of these extras and just stop at the first one?

What is the model # for the unit?

Have you tried method 2?

with all samsung gear, make sure they all have anynet disabled
it's samsungs auto input changing feature, and it is likely "fighting" the harmony trying to change inputs

Samsung LCD HDTV (LN52B750), Scientific Atlanta HD DVR Cable Box (Explorer 8300HD), Panasonic BluRay Player (DMP-BD55), Onkyo Receiver (TX-SR806), XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, SlingCatcher....all with my Harmony 1100 w/ Wireless Extender

Re: AVR inputs cycled thru too far - get input I need, then keeps going and going and going...

I'm thanking my lucky stars that I *finally* found this post!  I've gone round and round with the input switching functions on my Harmony remote for the Samsung TV -- literally, I've spent hours of my day today doing just that.  However, every time the BluRay player switched on, the Samsung automatically switches over to it.  Then, along comes the Harmony remote, counting through the input selections ... so it was always wrong.  I've tried changing the order they power up, adding delays, etc.  However, disabling the AnyNet feature on the TV instantly solved my problem.  Logitech needs to make a selection for 'auto' input switching for certain devices -- that would have solved the issue immediately.

Or at least advise you to disable one or the other.
