Harmony Remotes - Programming

I thought I was on to something good. I created some buttons to control my Yamaha rx-v595a. I was hoping I could access specific presets on the Receiver using the commands preset 1..Preset 8 but that did not work. I can however scroll the presets using the presetdown and presetup commands. But it would be nice to label the buttons with the station # and go directly to it. Wondering if anyone has successfully done this.

How does it work using your Original remote?

I was afraid someone was going to ask me that. I have never tried going directly to each memorized station until I saw the commands for preset 1...8  in the Harmony database.. I assumed based on that it could be done. Looking at the Yamaha remote there is nothing that correlates to preset stations.

So you have the separate commands on buttons on your Harmony but they don't work - is that the situation?

Yes that is correct. I tried using the preset 1 - 8 commands but it didn't do anything.

My goal was to label the harmony buttons with the radio station that I have memorized on the receiver.  So preset 1 command would be labeled 96.5 on the harmony

OK, then you need to e-mail to Logitech support that the commands are incorrect. They may be able to provide a set that does work.
