Activity button not responding

i have had my harmony one for a little less than a year now and after using it to turn on my components to watch tv the activity button no longer responds.  i have upgraded to the lastest firmware since, reset the remote by removing the battery and updated the remote with no different results.  I can access the devices on the remote, but not the activities.

please help.

Re: Activity button not responding

the instructions in the FAQ sticky for safe mode are different for the One, 1000, and 1100.

remove the battery, press and hold the off button while you reinsert the battery, continue pressing the off button until you can see that the remote is in safe mode...then connect it to the computer and manually do a firmware update from the downloads section of the software

Re: Activity button not responding

these are the instructions I'm finding...

  1. First we are going to put your remote into "Safe Mode". To do this, take out the battery and disconnect the remote from the USB cable
  2. Hold down the Off button (keep it pressed continuously) and place battery back into the remote
  3. Keep pressing the OFF button for another 10 seconds. The remote will then display the Logitech logo with the words "Safe Mode" below. If it does not, please go back to Step 1
