Harmony Remotes - Programming

I am connected to the internet.

It has worked before.

But today I cannot program my remote due to:

HarmonyProcess error '800a0005'

Invalid procedure call or argument

Why is that? What can I do?   /Ake

Hi Ake 

Sorry to hear you are receiving these error messages. The most likely explanation is that one of the Harmony servers is having temporary difficulties. To resolve this issue, you may need to completely close the software (including system tray icon) and launch it again. This allows you to make a new connection, hopefully with a different server. I would hope that the error is now resolved.

I'm getting the same error today trying to update programming on my Harmony One using latest version 7.5.0.10

 I've tried closing and restarting the app, no go.    Been trying every 15 mins for last 4 hours.

If it is a server issue as noted above its been going on for a few days.  Is anyone at Harmony looking into this?

Me too, I'm trying the web version since the application version is not compatible with Windows 7 yet.

Frustrating, as I just bought an open box receiver without a remote and I really want to set it up!

Ok, exiting system tray icon solved my problem.

However, it  is quite annoying that I cannot work with what I already have just because a Logitec server is down. Even if my own connection is at fault I cannot make even the slightest mod to the parameters I have already downloded. Why is that?

I do understand that in order to get the database info for my gadgets I need to contact the Logitec server.

But I do not understand why I need to be connected to modify button allocations on my own remote...

I cannot even _look_ at the button allocation of my remote without involving the logitec server. The program won´t even start...

The dreadful lines that i hated to read after eagerly receiving my harmony today , been trying for the past 4 hours now and all i left with is a shinny brick waiting to be connected, and i can't do a thing about :-(  ...

This is most likely due to a registry problem on your computer, which is very common but easily fixed.  Visit the site listed below where you have access to a free download that can fix the problem if it is indeed a corrupt registry key.  The site offers one free download in hopes you'll buy their product, but the one fix is all you need.  The site is verified safe by McAfee.

didn't sleep all night trying to figure this out , still nothing ... problem remains in effect and it's driving me nuts.
