Harmony Remotes - Programming

I just setup the Xbox remote for all my devices listed below:

Yamaha – HTR-5935

Sony KDL-40W4100

Dish VIP722

Philips DVDR3475

I began running tests on each device / activity and was highly impressed. 

The problem I have is that I am unable to utilize the DVR playback function buttons - Skip forward and Skip Backward.  (Yes I am on TV1 in the room with IR reception) 

The standard configuration of the remote software has these buttons programmed in the right place, on the correct button but it doesn't work.  I checked all default configuration, model is correct, button mapping is correct.  still nothing.

I then went into advance config and made the remote 'learn' both of the commands.  Twice... and still they don't work.  Does anyone have any tips or idea's on what I can do to make this work?  The remote is useless to me if it can't control the buttons I use 80% of the time.

pretty sure the way you want to add the 722 device is as:

add device, Video Recorder, PVR, Dish Network, ViP 722 DVR

then you should be working fine

I have the same problem with my Dish VIP622 DVR.  The remote won't turn it on or anything.  I've tried every method to program it, including the IR learn using the origional remote.  I have a $20 remote that has no problem learning the Dish functions so I don't understand what the problem is.

If you press System Info on the 622 what is your remote address?

Is it IR or UHF/IR?
