HArmony One and Onkyo 606 Zone 2

Hi

I want to use my Harmony One to control the volume and inputs for the Zone 2 Output on my Onkyo 606 AVR. I have read on a couple of forums that I need to create the AVR again and rename it, but I still cannot work out how to get it to control Zone 2. Has anybody been able to make ths work, and if so how?

Thanks in advance.

Re: HArmony One and Onkyo 606 Zone 2

Here's what I could find: If you have your speakers connected directly to the zone two terminals, you need to make sure that "powered zone 2" is activated in the receiver menu: Page 84 of your manual.

Then, you need to program the following to your harmony from the original remote: Press Zone 2 - Press On/Standby.  That will activate zone 2.

Next, Press zone 2 followed by the source you want to hear.

Finally, to turn zone 2 off, press zone 2 followed by on/standby again.

You can probably learn these to your harmony and then use them in an activity called "zone 2 listening" or something.  Good luck, hope that helps.

Re: HArmony One and Onkyo 606 Zone 2

Mike, Thanks.

I think my previous problem was when trying to learn the Z2 commands I was trying to get the Remote to learn the Zone2 button only rather than a combo of the Zone 2 and command.

All good now!
