HDMI1 and HDMI2 switching problems

I have been having problems with my 880 since I got it.  The problem happens when switching from watch TV to watch DVD and back to watch TV.
When switching to watch DVD, the tv switches to HDMI1, Air, HDMI2, then back to HDMI1 which is correct...this takes a while to complete.
When switching from watch DVD to watch TV, all components act fine except except it does not switch to HDMI2 but stays on HDMI1.  I have to click on Help to correct the problem.
I have reviewed all settings for activities and it is all correct.  I have even removed and started over with no help.
Any suggestions?

Re: HDMI1 and HDMI2 switching problems

just to be clear, your dvd player is using the HDMI1 input and the tv source (cable/sat box) is using the HDMI2 input, right?

Re: HDMI1 and HDMI2 switching problems

Yes, that is correct.  TV= HDMI2    DVD= HDMI1

Re: HDMI1 and HDMI2 switching problems

do me a favor and go into the setup, devices tab, settings for the tv, adjust inputs...

on that first screen, what input selection method is selected?

Re: HDMI1 and HDMI2 switching problems

change it to method #2...the wording for the samsung tv's is misleading...you have discrete commands in the database for all the inputs on this tv.

Samsung LCD HDTV (LN52B750), Scientific Atlanta HD DVR Cable Box (Explorer 8300HD), Panasonic BluRay Player (DMP-BD55), Onkyo Receiver (TX-SR806), XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, SlingCatcher....all with my Harmony 1100 w/ Wireless Extender

Re: HDMI1 and HDMI2 switching problems

in fact, when I added the tv to my setup (to see the settings for it), method #2 was selected by default

Samsung LCD HDTV (LN52B750), Scientific Atlanta HD DVR Cable Box (Explorer 8300HD), Panasonic BluRay Player (DMP-BD55), Onkyo Receiver (TX-SR806), XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, SlingCatcher....all with my Harmony 1100 w/ Wireless Extender
