Harmony 525 & MCE

[ Edited ]

Hi!

i have a problem setting up my Media Center PC.

When i hit the "MCE" Activity button on my harmony, the TV went on, my surround went on and even Windows Media Center pops on. The problem however, Media Center doesnt respond to any button i hit. I have to go to Devices -> Media Center PC -> Page 11/23  and push Media to regain controll over my Media Center.

Is there a quick fix for this?

Hi.

It sounds like you need to Customise Buttons in the Activity to control the device.

Did your Media Center come with a remote?

To control your Media Center with the harmony remote you will need an Infrared receiver.

Please post the Manufacture and Model number of your Media Center.

He says that when he goes into the Devices area he has all the commands and they work - that implies he has an IR receiver.

Yep i have an USB IR receiver :smileyhappy: And every button works. The problem is, when i hit the activity "MCE" my remotes startsup Media Center, but MC doesnt seem to get focus. I need to push the button "Media", before MC responds to my Harmony.

Re: Harmony 525 & MCE

That's OK Pikeh.

fvs - There's a command in the Devices area called Media, and you have to select it to make the device respond, correct?

If so, either Customise the command into the Activity and send it manually, or include it as Additional Command When Activity Starts.
