I am a proud new user of the Harmony 550. It's working almost perfect.
I have an Activity set up - Dad TV, to do the following-
1) turn on our Vizio 47" tv.
2) turn on the Directv unit and set the channel to FOX.
3) turn on the Samsung entertainment center.
Activity - Dad TV allows me to use the channel up and down and numbers to go to the channels as i would with the Directv remote. It also allows me to control the Samsung receiver with volume up and down for the surround sound.
I like to change the aspect and color mode on the tv. this is EASY when i just hit the devices button, select TV and cycle throught to the buttons i need.
My problem is - once select the TV device, I cannot use the remote in the original configuration as stated above. I know I can use the Help button and cycle back to the original activity and that will get me there, but it's very tedious. Can someone tell me how to get back to the original config of Dad TV without having to use the Help button ?? or can it be done at all?? Please Feel Free to HELP!!!

Yes, that takes you back to the Activity, but you shouldn't have left it to make those adjustments.
Customise the necessary commands to spare buttons or to the screen within the Activity.

That's OK - we expect a lot of new users at this time of the year - and your enquiry is both reasonable and welcome - it's what we're here for!
You can access an online Manual through the software but questions are always welcome here.
Instead of going into Devices to find and send the commands you need, you can set the commands to work from within the Activity - on any spare button of your choice or on the screen as virtual buttons.
The place to do that is Activities> Customise Buttons where you will see lists of all the available buttons, and where you can select from the dropdown lists beside the button names the Device you wish that button to control and the command you wish it to send.
You can also set Additional Commands When Activity Starts which you may be referring to as "actions after activity options", but those apply throughout the Activity and that may not be what you want.
Give Customising a try and let us know how you get on.
