Harmony 880, Samsung LCD & Denon AVR "tuning"

I've been using my Harmony 880 for several years & it has gotten me through several AV setups.  My most recent setup is a Samsung LN52A550 TV and a Denon AVR-1908, with a media PC, PS3, and Wii.  I have a DVD changer that doesn't really come into play.

I use discrete inputs for my Samsung LN; the codes I've chosen (LNT4671F) are not specifically for my TV, but the discrete codes work correctly so I've gone with those.  FYI, every code in for that model works correctly for my TV, and my TV does not have discrete codes in the Logitech Harmony database.

The problem I'm having is on power-up.  I have the LCD TV powering up first on every activity.  The LCD TV never goes to the correct input (if changing inputs from the last session).  I am using 3 inputs on the TV: HMDI, component, and PC.  The help button will get the TV to the correct input every time.

I adjusted the delay settings all the way out to 10000, 5000, 10000, 5000, and it finally worked correctly.  Obviously, these delays are impractical--I'm looking for help adjusting these settings, I've worked down from these & can't find the correct combination.

I've just set all delays for the TV down to 100ms--it works just as well as any other settings.  Broken & fast is better than broken & slow.

What delays did you alter?    Your statement suggests that you altered more than one.

Your problem statement (that this problem only occurs when powering on the TV) suggest to me that you should have just set the TV power on delay to 5000 and left all the other delays alone.

Yes, the power-on is the only delay involved here, and a typical figure for a TV would be 5-10 seconds.

I think I need a clearer definition of what changes each delay setting effects.  I'll play with the power-on delay, and yes, as suggested by the four numbers, I changed all four delays associated with the TV.  I'll update this thread with the results when possible.

The power on delay is the time it takes from the first application of power to a device to that device becoming sufficiently "warmed-up" that it can accept a command, typically an input command. You could actually check it with a stop-watch but a typical setting for a TV would be between 5 and 10 seconds, whereas the other delays, which do not affect this problem, would typically be less than 1 second.
