I've identified several favorite channels on my watch PVR activity.  When I manually change channels, the response is very quick.  When I hit a button on a favorite channel, the process takes several seconds.  I have a Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD DVR, and when the #'s are keyed in, you can see the entry at the bottom of the screen.  There is a long pause in the entry of the channel #'s.  Since the response of manual data entry is quick, I don't think this is related to delay times.  I have included icons for the favorite.  Is it possible that may have something to do with it?  I also noticed, as another member commented on, when I press the "Media" button to activate favorite channels, the screen blinks a couple of times. It did not do that when I had simply numeric entries for the channels.  I'm running the latest firmware.

Have you adjusted the repeats rate too? Mine was having the same issue, it was darn slow, and by default all of the delays for the 8300HD, save for the power on delay, are set to 0, so all that's left to adjust is the repeat rate. Go to the troubleshoot section of the device, tell the software to that the box doesn't respond correctly to every command, and then either it responds too fast or too slow. That will take you to the repeats section. I have mine set to 0 repeats and if you have a direct line of sight with the box it should respond just fine.

It's pretty quick for me since I did that. Hope this helps.
