Harmony 880 with Mitsubishi WD-62528

Hi once again--help still needed:smileysad:

The remote worked great, but once i added a player to the HDMI2 input on TV, I can not get the remote to go to the right TV input.

The other activities are all correct, but when I adjust the inputs according to Method 2, the input still does not go to the right spot.  I have to hit devices on the 880, find the TV and manually advance to the proper input.  Then it works great.

Help with programming the input.  I think the default HDMI2 input code on the database does not match the TV code.

Thanks and I will keep on trying:smileyhappy:

Does the problem happen when starting from an all off state, or when changing activities?

Edit that activity, to add another Input2 command at the end. It's the only thing that would work for me.

While I'm pretty sure it's a timing issue, I just don't have enough time at home to go through that wizard 10+ times.

Hi and welcome back!

First test that command by sending it direct from the Devices area - let us know if it works.

Re: Harmony 880 with Mitsubishi WD-62528

HI and thanks with this never ending question.

You suggest that i edit the activity.  Where do i edit the tv inputs?  When i go to the edit screens, it only appears to let me select the input for the tv--set as HDMI2--and once set, it doesn't appear to let me add another device to add at the end??????

Thanks for the help

Interestingly, no matter what input i program the 880 to put the tv on for this activity, it never changes from where it is.  All of the other activities function well???????

Please let us know for certain by testing whether or not "the default HDMI2 input code on the database does not match the TV code."

Re: Harmony 880 with Mitsubishi WD-62528

i really don't think that the database has an HDMI2 in it.  When i program the defaults, the other inputs are there, but there is not an HDMI2, and i have to add it manually. I deleted the tv, then restarted with the default database.  There is no HDM2 listed, and i have to manually add it.  When i use Method 2, the Harmony does not have the proper input there--in fact when the Assistant asks if the TV is on HDMI2, it will continue to beam something that never changes the input.

When the other inputs are programed for another activity, the TV does go to the proper input directly--at least there does not appear to be any cycling through inputs.

i appeciate the input, and i can email some screen shots on programing if it can help.

Hi DRINTERNIST,

Surely we can get your TV to start working with the Harmony. You mentioned that in the devices section you can get the TV to go to HDMI2. Which command are you sending?, is it 'InputNext'?

Since the database does not appear to have the correct HDMI2 command, Technical Support can assist by creating a two-command switch for HDMI2 as follows:

1. InputHDMI1 (sends TV to HDMI1)

2. InputNext (cycles TV to HDMI2)

Although using this custom input switch is a bit slower, your TV will still be using Method 2 for every other input. Overall it will still be alot quicker than switching, for example like the original Mitsubishi remote likely using 1 button. Unfortunately the above method can only be put in place by Technical Support. You can send them an email by clicking the 'Support' link at the top of this page and clicking 'Email Support'. They may also have other HDMI2 commands that might work. :smileyhappy:

Regards,

Mark.
