Ladies and Gents,
I'm having a problem getting my Hampton Bay Sidewinder fan working properly with my Harmony 900. It's an RF based remote with basic fan operations. I see how I can "learn" the remote, but only using IR. Can I do the same with RF?
The model isn't included in the default database. It finds a model number that is close and even when I try that I get nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

You cannot control proprietary RF devices with any Harmony remote or any universal remote.

Wow, no way to do it with a non-logitech product either?
I see how that is the case since the RF specture is probably fairly large for these devices and it would be difficult to "learn" the proper controls.
It supports everything I have in my house with the exception of this fan :-(
Thanks,
Mike

If you look on the back of the remote for the fan, it will have an FCC sticker and can only be controlled by its own remote, If you have multiple Fans, each can only be controlled by it's own remote, otherwise, if you turned on a fan in one room it would also turn on any other Hampton Bay fans in the house, or if your neighbor was close enough, it would turn on his fan.
