For the life of me I can't get the H1 to NOT play whatever is loaded into the machine. I'd simply like to have the TV, Reciever, and PS3 turn on, have the TV and reciever inputs set correctly, (which itself is problematic) and have my PS3 be somewhere in the main menu system.I have the "Do Not Play On Enter" radio button checked in the options area, but it seems to be ignored.

Is there a way to have the PS3 go to a certain icon in it's menu without actually excecuting that command?

Any ideas how I can accomplish this?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You have an Activity that includes the TV, Receiver, and PS3, and in which the option is selected not to play on enter - right?

As that option is not being applied you should report the details to Logitech support for their attention.

If the option you require to select a menu option can be achieved by a series of commands you can include those as Additional When Activity Starts.

That is done at Activity> Settings> Review Settings> Yes but I want more control.

The problem with puting in a list of commands to get the PS3 to do what I want upon start-up is that I never know from where the PS3 is starting. 

Plus, getting the PS3 to execute a command upon startup when a disc in in the machine is imposible, as far as I know. If there is a disc in the machine, the PS3 just starts playing it upon start-up. Or am I wrong? And then I have to wait for the disc to actually start playing before ANY command will be recognized.

Is there a way to get the PS3 to start up with a disc inserted and NOT play it? Then maybe I could reference that command or series of commands. and just have the PS# sitting in the main menu somewhere. hat's all I really want anyway.

The only other possible solution is to have the PS3 "Always ON" so it's not starting up when the activity begins.  But then it's hard to keep track of exactly whereI am in thePS3 menu system without actually taking a look first.

One question, as I have no experience of the machine - does it start to play automatically as soon as it's powered on, regardless of what method you use to power it on?

And wouldn't it be a good practice in any case to remove the disc each time you finish playing?

The PS3 has an option to turn off Disc Auto-Start. I'm not home so I can't tell if it stops Disc Auto-Start on system start-up or not.

On the PS3 select: Settings -> System Settings -> Disc Auto-Start = and turn it off.

Is the Setting you're referring to a different one?

Thanks so much for the responses everyone. Problem is solved. Yep, it was just dumb ol me not knowing that I could control the PS3 in regards to playing a movie or game on startup.
